History
In 1908, on the Sant Pere Més Baix street de Barcelona, a group of friends interested in dance in general and specifically for these of our country, Catalonia, they wrote and signed the Statutes of a new entity called Esbart Català de Dansaires. 1939 - 1948
Postwar recovery
As a premonition, a few days before the Battle of the Ebro's last words are written in the Book of Acts 1923-1938 which obviously remain unfinished.
When the Republican defeat is a reality, the members of the Board of Directors decide to keep inactive, momentarily, the Esbart Català de Dansaires. Men who face the dark period of the immediate postwar period are those in charges resulting from the renewal made at the last General Assembly of members held on January 31, 1937, because in 1938 is not already in time convoke.
Occupies the presidency Josep Ventura, after the resignation of Antoni Casalí that has occupied it three times (1909-1914, 1921-1924, 1928-1937) and a temporary space of twenty years. Carles Gàllego rests vice president and other charges Manuel Vidal found the secretary, undersecretary Pere Villes, Francesc X. Vilaresau in office voice propaganda and Ramon Sesé administrator in the vowel. Felip Blasco continues as a teacher of dance and Ricard Llansà musical director
